La mastitis provoca una reducci\u00f3n en la cantidad\/calidad de la producci\u00f3n de leche, un aumento en los gastos veterinarios debido al uso excesivo de medicamentos, un mayor riesgo de residuos en la leche\/carne y, en consecuencia, la posibilidad de un perjuicio a la salud p\u00fablica.<\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El coste estimado por infecci\u00f3n de mastitis cl\u00ednica oscila entre 178 $ y 489 $, dependiendo de los precios de la leche, el nivel de producci\u00f3n en las vacas afectadas y la etapa de lactancia en el momento de la enfermedad.
