Esta bacteria se ha aislado en frijoles secos, cereales y en alimentos deshidratados, como las especias, mezclas de condimentos y patatas. La enfermedad de incubaci\u00f3n corta o em\u00e9tica se diagnostica mediante el aislamiento de <i>B. cereus<\/i> en los alimentos implicados.
